The Goethe Institute will host the closing conference of the DECONFINING project at the Theater der Welt 2026 Festival in Chemnitz on June 26 and 27, from 10:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
DECONFINING: breaking down borders, opening spaces, questioning privileges. For four years, these principles have underpinned the exchange between twelve European organizations and their African partners from Burkina Faso, Lithuania, Croatia, Tunisia, Poland, Zambia, Germany, Tanzania, Austria, Togo, Slovenia, Senegal, Norway, Mali, Spain, Uganda, Belgium, and Morocco.
After four years, the DECONFINING project concludes at the THEATER DER WELT festival with the conference “Bridging the Gaps: Connecting the Dots,” which will include workshops and discussions. The results achieved during the project will also be presented. The conference will take place in Chemnitz, Germany; however, many sessions will be hybrid and can be followed online.
