As part of the LGBTQI+ Pride celebrations in Madrid, the Institut Français in Madrid will host “Different,” a musical show by Carolina for all generations.
The show will take place on Friday, June 26, at 7:00 p.m., in the Galerie du 10 of the Institut Français in Madrid (Calle Marqués de la Ensenada, 10). General admission: €12 (IF pass: €8). Suitable for all ages 5 and up. Once the performance has begun, no one will be admitted. Reservations required.

The artist: Miguel-Ange Sarmiento
Miguel-Ange Sarmiento is an actor, singer, songwriter, and performer, trained at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Conservatory and the Studio des Variétés in Paris. For over twenty years, he has explored the stage in all its forms: monologue, musical theater, cabaret, and both classical and contemporary shows. She has participated in numerous musical productions and performed on iconic stages such as the Folies Bergère, the Olympia, and La Cigale, as well as at the Avignon Festival and internationally (Yemen, Japan, Spain, Romania, Kazakhstan, etc.).
Her unique voice and stage presence have led her to create shows that combine song, theater, and humor in a colorful and poetic universe. This pursuit of artistic hybridity is reflected in the creation of the character Carolina, a whimsical and endearing star, both real and imagined, a mirror of her own career.
She is also the author and performer of Mon Petit Grand Frère (My Little Big Brother), an intimate and human show that won the Best Solo Performance Award at the 2024 Avignon OFF Festival. She is currently touring France and Spain with both of her shows. Meanwhile, he is preparing a new creation inspired by the world of Carlos Gardel, in which he will be accompanied by a double bassist, a bandoneon player, a pianist, and a violinist. The show is scheduled to premiere in October 2026.
Through his creations, and particularly Carolina, Miguel-Ange champions a vibrant, free, and profoundly human stage presence, closely linked to the original repertoire and the transmission of popular song, an artistic and emotional heritage that occupies a central place in his work.

Rémi Cotta is a multidisciplinary artist: stage director, actor, opera singer, visual artist, and filmmaker. His stage work is characterized by the fusion of visuals, music, and poetry, always in service to humanity.
He has directed numerous productions for the world of Carolina, such as Carolina Show, Carolina the Artificial Intelligence, and Carolina’s Cabaret. His approach, both aesthetic and sensory, seeks to enhance the authenticity of the performance and the emotional power of the stage.
