Until next 27 April, the Real Jardín Botánico-CSIC of Madrid (Plaza de Murillo, 2) presents the exhibition Seeds threatened: a journey through the microscope, in the Greenhouse of the Bonsai of the Real Jardín.
The sample is an exhibition with 40 images of seeds (size 59,4cmx42 cm), with macroscopic photographs taken by Carlos de Mier with a stereoscopic microscope and microphotographs taken by Yolanda Ruiz with a scanning electron microscope (MEB). The exhibition will contain information on each species, its threats and conservation strategies.
Following the philosophy of recent years, promoted by the education department of RJB-CSIC to create an accessible garden that favors diversity and inclusion in the field of scientific dissemination, the exhibition is designed with accessibility adaptations for all types of public. It will contain visual touch panels, posters with Braille transcription, availability of the Museum’s Voice service, 9-button visual touch stations to create routing and adaptation of texts for easy reading in accordance with UNE 153101:2018 EX
