Through the Turkish Embassy in Spain, the Directorate of Communication of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey is organising a panel entitled The Reform of the United Nations Security Council: A New Approach to Rebuilding the International Order next Monday, 12 September, at the Hotel Canopy by Hilton Castellana (Pl. de Carlos Trías Bertrán, 4), at 2 pm.

The event will be moderated by İsmail Erkam Sula, Senior Lecturer, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Department of International Relations. Sergio García-Magariño, Professor, Public University of Navarra, Researcher, I-Communitas, Institute for Advanced Social Research; İpek Tekdemir-Rupp, Strategic and Political Communication Advisor, European Parliament; and José Ventura Ballester, Analyst and Consultant, Fundación de Estudios Estratégicos e Internacionales (FESEI) will participate as panelists. The language of the panel will be English.

The inability of international organisations to find effective solutions to the problems of our time and the loss of ground for multilateralism give rise to new quests and conflicts of interest. Conflicts around the world reappear after a long hiatus, even if their actors and nature have changed. With its enterprising and humanitarian foreign policy approach, Turkey strives for a more inclusive, transparent and accountable multilateral system to build a more just world.
