Naturgy obtained a net profit of 777 million euros in the first nine months of the year, which represents an increase of 58.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the company.

The earnings to September of the energy group headed by Francisco Reynés include net capital gains of 187 million euros corresponding to the divestments of the electricity business in Chile and the stake in Unión Fenosa Gas (UFG) in Egypt.

The Group’s ordinary profit in the first nine months of the year amounted to EUR 865 million, 28% more than in the same period of 2020.

The energy company’s gross operating profit (Ebitda) in the January-September period stood at €2.56 billion, down slightly by 1.2% compared to the same period in 2020 and 217% lower than in 2019, without recovering to pre-pandemic levels. Ordinary Ebitda was €2.99 billion, 6% higher than in 2020 and 6% lower than in 2019.
