In the framework of FIAS 2025 – International Festival of Sacred Art, tomorrow Saturday the Instituto Italiano de Cultura presents at 19.30 hours in the Green Room of the Teatros del Canal (calle Cea Bermúdez, 1) the concerts of Massimo Silverio and Maria Mazzotta.
Massimo Silverio is a composer and musician born in 1992 in Cercivento (Udine), in the heart of the historical-geographical region of Carnia. He writes and sings in his mother tongue, a minority language called Carnian, spoken in the Carnic Alps of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia.
That same year, Massimo Silverio released his first album, entitled Hrudja, the result of an encounter with the eclectic producer Manuel Volpe (Rhabdomantic Orchestra) and the decisive contribution of the Piedmontese musician and performer Nicholas Remondino (Lamie, Stefano Battaglia, Vieri Cervelli Montel). Hrudja received immediate praise from the Italian and international press and was nominated for the prestigious Italian Tenco Prize.
The unique versatility of Maria Mazzotta is what makes her one of the most important voices in the world of music, towards which she has an extremely respectful approach, the meticulous investigation of the vocal characteristics of the area which greatly differentiate the various cultures within it. She moves in a natural and seamless way from the sounds of southern Italy to the inflections of Balkan music, and captivates the audience with her sincere interpretation as she immerses them in the cultures of the songs performed. The tickets, which are unique for both concerts, can be purchased at this link.
