On Thursday, 6 March at 7 pm, the Instituto Cervantes de Madrid (Barquillo, 4), in collaboration with the Centro Cultural Inca Garcilaso, will offer a colloquium about the figure of the Peruvian writer, poet, painter and photographer José María Eguren (1874-1942), one of the central figures of symbolism and the renewal of Latin American poetry of his time.
Juan Manuel Bonet, poet, art historian, two-volume editor with the poetic work and prose texts of Eguren and former director of the Instituto Cervantes, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno, and Alonso Ruiz Rosas, poet, cultural attaché of the Peruvian Embassy in Spain and director of the Inca Garcilaso Cultural Center.
