Chile will once again place Spain at the heart of its international economic promotion agenda with the latest edition of ChileDay Madrid 2026, to be held on 14 September. The event, hosted at the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, will bring together policymakers, business leaders, investors and financial-sector representatives to explore the opportunities offered by Chile and strengthen its ties with international markets.
Organised by InBest Chile and the Ministry of Finance, the event will feature four members of the Chilean government, Central Bank Governor Rosanna Costa, and Chile’s Ambassador to Spain, Juan Antonio Coloma. Private-sector representatives will include Ana Botín, Executive Chair of Banco Santander.
The agenda will focus on some of the sectors Chile is seeking to promote in order to attract international capital, including infrastructure, energy, mining and financial services, as well as emerging opportunities in fintech and technology.
One of the main discussions will be titled “Why Invest in Chile?”, examining the country’s case for attracting new projects and foreign capital. The programme will also feature sessions on infrastructure, energy, fintech and Open Finance, alongside an analysis of the international geopolitical landscape.
The latter session will bring together Ana Palacio, former Spanish Foreign Minister; General Miguel Ángel Ballesteros; and journalist John Müller, in a conversation moderated by David Gallagher.
Madrid, ChileDay’s Second European Stop
Madrid’s selection as the host city for a second consecutive year reflects the importance Chile places on its economic ties with Spain, as well as on the Spanish capital’s role as a gateway to European markets.
The 2025 edition attracted more than 700 participants, according to the organisers, making it the best-attended ChileDay in the event’s history. The response to this year’s edition has once again been strong: in-person attendance is already fully booked.
The Madrid event will be followed two days later by a new edition of ChileDay in London on 16 September, extending the initiative’s European tour to two of the continent’s leading financial centres.
Chile’s programme in Spain will not, however, end with ChileDay. On 15 September, InvestChile, the Chile-Spain Foundation and UNE will host a meeting in Madrid aimed at Spain’s business community, showcasing investment opportunities in industries considered strategic to the country’s development, with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure.
The succession of the two initiatives underscores Madrid’s role as one of the platforms through which Chile is seeking to deepen its engagement with Spanish investors and companies, at a time shaped by the energy transition, the development of new infrastructure and the transformation of financial markets.

Although in-person registration is now closed as the available capacity has been reached, the event will be available to watch online via the livestream provided by the organisers.
The programme will begin at 8:50 a.m. and run throughout the day, with a reception scheduled to take place at the conclusion of the sessions.
