On May 21, the Casa de América headquarters in Madrid will host the event “An Order in Dispute: The Relevance of International Law and Human Rights Today: A Look at Latin America,” coinciding with the launch of the 100th Deusto Human Rights Notebook, coordinated by Professor Felipe Gómez Isa of the University of Deusto.
This dialogue aims to foster reflection on the implications for Latin America of the current international context, marked by changes in global governance dynamics and the role of the United States following the start of President Donald Trump’s new term.
The 100th Deusto Human Rights Notebook, entitled “Human Rights: Achievements and Challenges,” is a commemorative issue featuring contributions from experts in various fields (NGOs, academia, international organizations) who reflect on the progress made in the defense and protection of human rights since the end of World War II.
