Casa de América and the Embassy of Paraguay are organizing tomorrow, Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Sala Miguel de Cervantes of the first, the second meeting El Paraguay que llevamos dentro (The Paraguay we carry inside), as part of the cycle Techaga’ú / Nostalgia that a country brings.
Techaga’u Guive constitutes an initiative of high strategic value for the international projection of Paraguay, by positioning it from a contemporary narrative based on life stories of Paraguayans and Spaniards who, from the migrant experience and the affective bond, build a deep and authentic view of the country.
In each edition, the live archive that shapes this project is expanded. The stories are not anecdotal: they are pieces that allow us to understand how Paraguay is built outside its borders, how identity is maintained in distance and how belonging is generated from work, faith, culture and professional commitment. In this new session, five voices expand the story: career paths, entrepreneurship, art, medical vocation and pastoral mission. Paraguay counted from those who build it every day, inside and outside the country.
By presenting Paraguay not only as a geographical destination but also as an emotional and cultural territory, the cycle strengthens its international image, promotes interest in its material and immaterial heritage and contributes to make its presence visible in Spain.
At the center of this search remains the techaga’ú: that nostalgia that does not immobilize, but connects and brings to the present the country that is carried within.
This event will be attended by Ma. Lidia Solís Bonini, industrial engineer; Daniel Poletti Serafini, doctor specializing in Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Pathology; Teresita Maciel, artist and singer; Elio Ledezma, entrepreneur, and Father José María García, Spanish priest of the community of the Schoenstatt Fathers. Moderates and produces: María Victoria Ramírez Jou, communicator and Paraguayan producer. Free admission until capacity is reached.
