The Embassy of Ukraine announces the launch in Spain of the initiative Urgent energy solidarity with Ukraine, a solidarity fundraising campaign aimed at helping the Ukrainian civilian population in the face of the serious energy crisis that the country is suffering.
In its statement, the Ukrainian Embassy states that “this initiative responds to the critical situation of the energy sector in Ukraine, caused by the Russian Federation’s systematic attacks on electrical and thermal infrastructures that have left millions of people without electricity or heating in one of the coldest winters of recent years. The campaign is being run in collaboration with Spanish civil society organizations and the Ukrainian community in Spain, and aims to mobilize immediate support to alleviate damage to essential energy infrastructure”.
“In the context of the current critical humanitarian situation, continues the statement, the initiative seeks to sensitize Spanish public opinion, promote active solidarity from Spain and encourage the participation of institutions, agencies, companies and citizens in general.” Detailed information on the initiative, its objectives and ways of collaboration is available on this website.
