The official residence of the ambassador of Argentina was yesterday the stage for the presentation of the collection Mi lugar en el mundo, by the Argentine jewelry designer and gemologist Lissi Fracchia, which gathered numerous guests.

The Ambassador of Argentina noted in the presentation that “to lend the space of the Embaja to Lizzi to exhibit his works is also the demonstration of the Argentine talent that there is around the world and as a country brand, as a country brand and as an artist of an industry that for Argentina should be very relevant, unfortunately it is not yet, which is in the mining part and everything that has to do with geology. For us it is a reflection of the potential that the country also has. So we thank Lizzi for being inspired to become this gemologist, for being a country brand and for making us proud of her creation”.

The protagonist of the event, jewelry designer Lissi Fracchia , who commented that “in Argentina I was an English teacher, nothing to do with this world. Very happy teaching for a family allowance. I arrived in Madrid in 2005. I had the opportunity to study another career and wanted to do something that had nothing to do with English and education. I went to the Instituto Gemológico Español because a friend told me that I could do a lot of courses. I had no idea what the word gemology meant, much less jewelry, because if I had to look at a showcase, every time I traveled, I looked at shoes, that is, nothing to see”.

“My first course I did with Professor Paro Moyano, she indicated, she made me passionate at that time for this world, which today is my passion and my true vocation. In that year, after doing that first course, I presented my first collection with 60 necklaces at the time, everybody loved it, it sold out in seconds, and I said, well, you see something I’m doing right, I have to keep studying.”

After spending five years in Brazil, Lissi returned to Spain and continued her studies at the Instituto Gemológico Español. At that time he had his first presentation in Madrid Joya, in this spectacular setting of the jewelry fairs. Madrid Joya is one of the most important here, in Europe, and that’s how it all started and made me known.

“Today I present in the collection Mi lugar en el mundo, declared Lissi Fracchia, which is born of that affection, of that deep feeling that each one has for his country, or of the place in the world where he believes he belongs. They are maps of the countries with all their geography, with all their provinces, communities. In some countries, for example, in the one of Australia you will see, or in Egypt, which as they have a lot of desert, I had to add other pieces so that they can be molded, then I was put, for example, the kangaroo; in the one of Egypt, the pyramids, and well, that is, carry on the heart, besides being able to show it, the country you want.”
