Within the framework of the collaboration agreement between the Embassy of Ecuador and the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL), 150 scholarships will be awarded covering from 25% to 100% of the cost of training for Ecuadorians residing in Spain.

The Migrants Scholarship, available for the academic period April-August 2026, is aimed at those new entrants who wish to start third level studies in a distance or online mode.

In total, the university will offer 150 scholarships, distributed in four funding levels: 10 100% scholarships, 20 75%, 30 50% and 90 25%. The full grants are intended for applicants who demonstrate situations of economic and social vulnerability, while the other percentages are targeted at priority care groups or people with economic difficulties, such as unemployment or high housing costs.

General requirements include:

Applicants must submit, in digital format, documents such as the signed application form, a certificate of residence in Spain (NIE, DNI or registration) and, if applicable, proof of benefits or pensions.

The application is made online through the university’s scholarship portal, once the institutional enrollment process has been completed. In addition, beneficiaries must maintain a minimum academic performance to retain the scholarship during their studies.

The initiative aims to facilitate access to higher education for the Ecuadorian migrant community, allowing university careers from abroad through virtual academic programs.
