King Felipe VI receives the Board of Trustees of the Spain-Colombia Council Foundation on the occasion of its tenth anniversary

King Felipe VI received a delegation from the Board of Trustees of the Spain-Colombia Council Foundation (FCEC) at the Zarzuela Palace to mark the tenth anniversary of this organization dedicated to promoting and strengthening relations between the two countries.

The audience took place on Friday, December 5, and the delegation was headed by the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Trinidad Jiménez, who briefed the King on the work carried out by the Foundation over the past ten years. Also present at the meeting was the State Secretary for Ibero-America and the Caribbean and the Spanish Language in the World, Susana Sumelzo.

Jiménez explained that the purpose of the FCEC is to promote political, economic, cultural, scientific, and academic cooperation between Spain and Colombia, as well as to foster greater mutual understanding and a stronger reciprocal image of both countries. She also highlighted the bilateral and multi-sectoral nature of the Council Foundation, which acts as a strategic platform to facilitate exchanges between public and private institutions in both countries.

The entity, whose mission is to facilitate exchanges in both the private and public sectors in both countries, has the support of the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the other Ministerial Departments that also participate in the Board of Trustees and its activities.
