Colombia’s craft wealth arrives with Expoartesano Madrid 2025

 

From tomorrow to 23 November, the Centro Cultural Galileo in Madrid (calle Galileo,  39) will be the stage of Expoartesano Madrid 2025, An event that celebrates the artistic and artisanal wealth of Colombia and that comes to Spain for the first time to strengthen cultural ties between both countries through dialogue, creativity and diversity.

 

The inauguration will take place this afternoon at 7 pm and will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio, the Ambassador of Colombia, Eduardo Ávila Navarrete, and the General Manager of Crafts of Colombia, Adriana Mejía, among other authorities.

 

From 19 to 23 November, artisans, artists, cultural managers, collectors and lovers of popular art will come together to share experiences, exhibit their works and generate connections that promote cultural sustainability and the exchange of ancestral knowledge.

 

Visitors will be able to enjoy samples of handicrafts, fashion, jewelry, accessories and home decor in an atmosphere that highlights the talent and creativity of artisans from Colombia. In addition, guided tours will be offered, which can be requested through the e-mail prensa.madrid@cancilleria.gov.co.

 

Expoartesano 2025 is an initiative of Artesanías de Colombia, Plaza Mayor Medellín, the Embassy of Colombia in Spain and ProColombia, developed under international curatorial standards, which seeks to consolidate itself as a platform for cultural diplomacy, Giving visibility to ethnic communities and territories that, with their art, tradition and history, enrich the intangible heritage of our nations.
