The Council of Ministers authorized a contribution of €1.4 million to the Action Against Hunger Association in Guatemala this past Tuesday, from the Water and Sanitation Cooperation Fund, to finance the program “Improvement of sanitation services in the area surrounding Lake Petén Itzá, Phase II.”
The Water and Sanitation Cooperation Fund (FCAS) aims to finance actions, within the framework of international development cooperation, that promote and improve access to water and sanitation services for citizens of Latin American countries.
At the FCAS Executive Committee session held on October 6, 2025, a contribution of 1,400,000 euros was approved for the Action Against Hunger Association in Guatemala, charged to the Cooperation Fund for Water and Sanitation (FCAS), for the financing of the program “Improvement of sanitation services in the area of Lake Petén Itzá, Phase II”.
