Screening of ‘Scarred Hearts’ at the Instituto Cultural Rumano

The Instituto Cultural Rumano in Madrid (Plaza del Cordon, 1, bottom right) invites on 17 July at 6.30 pm to the screening of the film Scarred Hearts (Inimi cicatrizate), a work by acclaimed Romanian director Radu Jude, winner of the Golden Bear in Berlin and one of the most original voices of contemporary European cinema.

The screening will be in original version with subtitles in Spanish (VOSE). Free entry until full capacity.

Based on the semi-autobiographical novel by writer Max Blecher, the film transports the viewer to a 1930’s sanatorium where a young man faces an experience that will transform his view of life, body and thought.

With its particular visual style with long shots, philosophical dialogues and subtle humor, Scarred Hearts is a profound reflection on the body, spirit and human dignity in the face of adversity. Please confirm attendance at this e-mail: icrmadrid@icr.ro.
