Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares “firmly” condemned this Monday the latest Russian drone and missile attacks that “continue to sow terror, death, and destruction in Ukraine.”
“Hundreds of Russian drones and missiles continue to sow terror, death, and destruction in Ukraine every day,” the minister wrote on social media. “These attacks are Russia’s only response to international efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire and a just and lasting peace,” he continued.
“Spain firmly condemns these attacks. We remain by Ukraine’s side, committed to its defense and security, to its independence and reconstruction. We are working to combat impunity,” he concluded.
One person died in the Ukrainian port of Odessa as a result of a new overnight Russian drone attack. Separately, 27 people were injured in the city of Kharkiv, in northeastern Ukraine, in a separate attack.
These attacks came a day after Russia shot down 120 Ukrainian drones, causing chaos at Russian airports, especially in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
