This afternoon at 7 pm, the Instituto Cervantes of Madrid (calle Alcalá, 49) organizes in its auditorium a meeting with the outstanding Chilean poet Rosabetty Muñoz.
In this appointment, a talk will be shared and a reading of his works Misión Circular and Poesía Reunida. Rosabetty Muñoz Serón (born 9 September 1960 in Ancud) is a renowned Chilean poet and teacher, linked to cultural movements such as the Grupo Chaicura de Ancud and the Taller Aumen de Castro.
Throughout her career, this poet has published numerous books of poetry reflecting the life and culture of southern Chile, including Canto de una oveja del rebaño (1981), Hijos (1991) and La santa, historia de una su elevación (1998). His work has been recognized with several awards, including the Pablo Neruda Award in 2000 and the Altazor Award in 2013 for Bone Dust.
In 2020, Misión Circular was published, an anthology that collects the highlights of his poetic production, including the unpublished book Veteranos and a poem written at age eighteen that opens the collection as poetic art. This work allows us to appreciate the constancy of a voice characterized by its intense flatness and an art suggestive and insightful.
