The Government has awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit to Azzam Abdulkarim Algain, the former ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Spain until the beginning of this year.

The ambassador handed over his post to Princess Haifa Al Mogrin, who becomes the first woman to head the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Madrid.
