A spectacular show-cooking with a selection of Greek haute cuisine dishes, by the famous chef Konstantinos Vasalos, culminated the participation of Greece as guest country at the Alicante Gastronomic Fair 2023.
Two large tastings of Greek products were also organized at the Greek stand. The first, with wines, cheeses and yogurts, while the second combined wines, olives and oils.
The Greek ambassador in Spain, Ilias Fotopoulos, attended the opening of the Fair, where he visited his country’s stand and the Casa Mediterráneo pavilion accompanied by the general director of this institution, Andrés Perelló.
Throughout the fair, Greece exhibited the best products of its gastronomic tradition, such as oil, wine, olives, dairy products and other products of its fish farming.
The Greek products on offer, as well as the support for Greek participation in the Fair, are due to the Greek importer Olimpo Gourmet, based in Barcelona. The Greek community of Alicante also actively contributed to the participation in the Fair.
