Iberia has been recognised as the third most punctual airline in Europe in June, while Vueling was ranked sixth in the ranking prepared by the consultancy Cirium, being the only Spanish companies in the top 10.
The airline headed by Fernando Candela achieved a punctuality rate of 80.89% on a total of 13,774 flights during the sixth month of the year. Likewise, Vueling, in sixth position, managed to get 76.88% of its flights to their destination on time, out of a total of 18,982 operations, reports Europa Press.
Therefore, the top 10 most punctual European airlines are as follows: Polish Airlines (82.72%), Norwegian Air Shuttle (82.02%), Iberia, Finnair (80.69%), Austrian (78.12%), Vueling, KLM (76.18%), , Eurowings (69.12%), Lufthansa (66.16%) and Norwegian Air Sweden (65.68%).
With respect to the global ranking, there is no Spanish presence among the ten most punctual airlines. Avianca leads the ranking with 86.61% of flights arriving on time in June. It is followed by Latam Airlines (86.54%), Qatar Airways (85%) and ANA (84.29%).
