As part of the Madrid Design Festival 2023, tomorrow Thursday at 11.30 am, at the headquarters of the Institución Libre de Enseñanza (ILE) (Paseo del General Martínez Campos, 14, Madrid), the Embassy of Italy presents the promotional programme of Italian Design throughout the year 2023.
Italian Design Day is an annual thematic review organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Culture, now in its seventh edition.
The event, which this year will take place on 9 March, covers more than 100 countries and consists of an extensive programme of promotional activities carried out by the network of Italian embassies, consulates, foreign trade offices and cultural institutes, presenting the excellence and creativity of Italian design in various forms around the world.
In addition, Italy will once again be a protagonist on the Madrid scene, participating for the second consecutive year in Casa Decor (13 April – 28 May) thanks to the ICE agency and with the support of the Italian Embassy in Madrid.
Taking part in the presentation will be Roberto Nocella, First Counsellor and Head of the Commercial Office of the Italian Embassy; Giovanni Bifulco, Director of the Madrid office of the Italian Agency for Foreign Trade-Office of the Italian Embassy for the promotion of commercial exchange; Beatriz Silveira, interior designer, winner in 2017 of the award for Best Original Design and the Second Mention for Best Original Decorator Design at Casa Decor, and Silja Bulk, Country Manager for Spain and Portugal of the Italian firm Artemide.
