The Apostolic Nunciature in Spain is opening, from Tuesday 3 to Friday 6, a book of condolences for citizens to leave their message in memory of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, who died on 31 December 2022.

The book will be available from Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and in the afternoon from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, from Tuesday to Thursday inclusive. Likewise, on Friday the 6th, those who wish to do so will be able to sign in from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.

For those who are unable to visit the Nunciature, an electronic means of leaving messages of condolence has been set up through the institution’s e-mail address (nunap@nunciaturaapostolica.es).

On the other hand, it was announced yesterday that Queen Sofia, the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, and the Spanish Ambassador to the Holy See, Isabel Celáa, will be the Spanish authorities who will attend Benedict XVI’s funeral next Thursday.
