The Government has awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic to the former ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Spain, Majid al-Suwaidi.
The agreement was adopted in the Council of Ministers last Tuesday, after Al-Suwaidi left the diplomatic representation to take charge of coordinating the work of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), which will take place next year in Dubai.
Majid al-Suwaidi has been ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Madrid between September 2019 and the same month of 2022.
