Embassy of Ireland celebrates International Friendship Day

International Friendship Day takes place at the end of this month (30 July) and the Irish Embassy wishes to commemorate it in a very original participatory way.

It will be an opportunity to celebrate the strong ties between Ireland and Spain and the Embassy thought it would be a nice idea to ask people to send in photos or selfies of themselves holding a piece of paper with one or two words (in Spanish or English) that reflect their feelings about Spain or Ireland.

And even better if you can see where the people are on holiday in the background! The idea is to put all these photos together in a collage that the Irish diplomatic delegation will share on its Twitter account (@IrlEmbMadrid) on 30 July. Photos can be sent to annmarie.murphy@dfa.ie by 26 July at the latest.
