Instituto Goethe screens ‘Futuro Tres’, about cultural and sexual identity…

In connection with episode #2 of its podcast En tu feria me Colé -La resaca colonial, the Instituto Goethe Madrid presents this evening at 7.30pm the film Futuro Tres (Future Three), directed and written in 2019 by Faraz Shariat and starring Benjamin Radjaipour, Eidin Seyed Jalali, Banafshe Hourmazdi, Katarina Gaub, among others.

Parvis (Benjamin Radjaipour) is a ‘millennial’ who grows up in the comfortable and wealthy environment of his parents’ house, who emigrated from Iran to Germany thirty years ago. He combats his boredom in the provincial city of Hildesheim through pop culture, rave parties and dating via Grindr – a gay dating app. For shoplifting, he is sentenced to community service as a translator in a refugee reception centre. There he meets Amon (Eidin Jalali) and his older sister Banafshe (Banafshe Hourmazdi). An intense and fragile relationship develops between the three of them, which is increasingly influenced by the fact that their chances of finding a future in Germany are very unequal. Language: German with Spanish subtitles.
