The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arancha González Laya, yesterday expressed Spain’s solidarity with the government and people of Burkina Faso, following the terrorist attack in that country that has caused the death of 132 civilians.
On her Twitter account, the minister said that Spain would continue to support efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Sahel.
At least 132 civilians were killed yesterday in an attack by gunmen on a post of the anti-jihadist militia Volunteers for the Defence of the Fatherland (VDP) in Solhan, in northeastern Burkina Faso. Solhan is 14 kilometres from Sebba, the provincial capital, and has been the scene of several incidents since the beginning of the year.
