The Diplomat
On 15th March 2024, India and the Principality of Andorra signed the Agreement on Exemption from Visa Requirement for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports, as reports the Indian Embassy in a press release.
The Agreement was signed on the Indian side by Ambassador Dinesh K. Patnaik and on the Andorran side by Andorra’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Imma Tor Faus, at Andorra la Vella.
The Agreement allows holders of diplomatic and official passports to enter into, exit from, and transit through the territory of the other country through their respective international points of entry/exit without visas. It also allows the holders of said passports to stay in the territory of the other country for a maximum period of 90 days in any period of 180 days, without a visa.
The signing of the Agreement will significantly ease the conduct of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and represents a significant step towards the strengthening of India-Andorra bilateral relations.
