The Ambassador of the Arab League in Madrid, Malek Twal, has visited the headquarters of CEOE, where he was received by the President of CEOE International, Marta Blanco, with whom he discussed ways to relaunch business relations between Spain and Arab countries.
During the meeting, both stressed the importance of these relations and emphasised the existence of many business opportunities, in both directions, in various sectors, according to the Spanish employers’ association.
Ambassador Malek Twal reported on the creation of a Spanish-Arab Chamber of Commerce, based in Spain, with the aim of developing greater possibilities for collaboration between Spanish companies and Arab countries and strengthening relations in favour of the business sector.
For her part, Marta Blanco agreed on the interest in studying possible lines of cooperation between CEOE and the Arab League, which represents 22 countries of the Maghreb and the Middle East.
