The Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop, held a bilateral meeting yesterday in Amsterdam with her counterpart from the Netherlands, Dilan Yesilgöz-Zegerius, with whom she discussed, among other issues, judicial cooperation in relation to the war in Ukraine and the priorities of her Ministry during the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, among which are human trafficking, confiscation and environmental crimes.
During the meeting, which took place within the framework of the 11th meeting of the Vendôme Group – formed by the Ministries of Justice of the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain – Llop and Yesilgöz-Zegerius also discussed issues related to organized crime, such as the fight against drugs, criminal cooperation between Member States and the reform of the crime of trafficking. Llop also briefed her counterpart on the update of organized crime offenses on which the Codification Commission of the Ministry of Justice is working.
