The Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, accompanied by the Ukrainian Ambassador, Serhii Pohoreltsev, visited the exhibition The Eye of the Hurricane (El ojo del huracán) at the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza on Saturday.
The Ukrainian Embassy thanked the Spanish minister on its social networks for his “personal support” for “projects aimed at preserving Ukrainian cultural heritage and its propagation in Spain and for his deep interest in the history of Ukrainian art”.
It also highlights “the management of the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, as well as the presence of the guide Mary for a highly professional tour in a deep understanding of the creativity of the representatives of the avant-garde of the early twentieth century, Ukrainian culture as an integral part of the global cultural process”.
For his part, Minister José Manuel Albares has expressed on his Twitter account, referring to the visit: “Creativity and colour that define an identity. To defend its art and heritage is also to support Ukraine. Art is a language that brings us together”.
