Next Wednesday 18 January at 19.30, the Fundación Excelentia presents an excellent concert of the best Romantic music, interpreting Rachmaninov and Beethoven, at the symphonic hall of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.
With the Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia, the piano virtuoso Szymon Nehring and Robert Farkas conducting, the audience will enjoy the overture Donna Diana, by Reznice, the impressive Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2, by Rachmaninov, and the masterful Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”, by Beethoven.

Likewise, next Monday 16th January at 7 p.m., a conference on the two composers will be held at the Club Monteverdi (Calle Almagro, 36), an opportunity to discover how Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto nº2 and Beethoven’s Symphony nº3 “Eroica”, two essential works in the history of classical music, were composed. The lecture will be given by Carlos de Matesanz (Programme Director of Radio Clásica) and is “free” for subscribers and concert ticket holders.
