Within the framework of the Veranos de la Villa de Madrid 2022, the storyteller Yoshi Hioki and the koto (Japanese harp) player Chisa Majima bring to the Teatro Español on 21 and 22 July at 7 p.m. Tales and legends of Japan, a fusion of stories and traditional music aimed especially at an adult audience.
The turn of the little ones, and thanks to the collaboration of the Embassy of Japan in Spain, will be on 23 and 24 July, also at 7 p.m., when both artists will narrate traditional Japanese tales for all audiences in Mukashi, mukashi.
From the rice paddies to the imperial court, of animals, monsters, gods? The tales and legends of the land of the rising sun told by the storyteller Yoshi Hioki will produce a gentle tinkling in the hearts of those who listen to them. The narration will be woven by the melody of Chisa Majima’s “koto” like a delicate rain falling on a bamboo forest. A fusion of storytelling and ancestral music for adults to be performed especially for Veranos de Villa.
