Throughout 28 June, LGBT Pride Day, Centro Sefarad-Israel is offering the opportunity to enjoy Ofir Raul’s Israeli film El repostero de Berlín (The Berlin Confectioner), in the original version with English subtitles.
In Berlin, Oren, an Israeli construction engineer, becomes infatuated with the pastry chef Thomas. The romance doesn’t even seem to have begun when Thomas discovers that Oren has died in a car accident in Jerusalem. Thomas travels there without knowing exactly what he is looking for. He discovers that Oren’s wife, Anat, owns a café, and she offers Oren a very basic job cleaning and scrubbing dishes. Those interested should register on this form and will receive the code at 9 a.m. on 28 June. The film can be enjoyed until 23:59 on the same day. Registrations will be accepted until 13:00 on 25 June.
