In Los hijos de los boomers (The children of the boomers), the political analyst, writer and journalist Estefanía Molina gives a voice to a generation: denounces the Spanish passover against the dramas of her youth – housing, wages and precariousness – and explains why so many young people are drawn to authoritarianism and the far right, owing to the demise of the middle class and a political system based on the interests of baby boomers, such as pensions, which no longer serve their children. The author calls for a new social contract and courageous reforms, because there is a risk that this anti-establishment generation, raised in discomfort, will soon raze political conquests and a welfare state that already shows signs of exhaustion.

Estefanía Molina Morales (Igualada, 1991) is a political scientist and journalist at the Pompeu Fabra University. She was first of her promotion in both degrees, won an extraordinary prize and won the University of California (UCLA) Global Cities scholarship. For several years he has been working as a columnist in the newspaper El País, analyzing Spanish politics. He also collaborates with the SER channel, Telecinco, TV3, RAC1, Canal 24h and RNE. He has directed and presented the youth podcast Selfi at 30. She began her career as a consultant in political communication and public affairs, and for more than a decade has worked as a chronicler in the Congress, Senate and Government. His first book was El berrinche político (Destiny, 2021). Likewise, she has twice been the rapporteur of the talks organized by The Diplomat and the Association of Foreign Diplomats (ADE).
