The objective of this first day is to reach and agree on a series of conclusions and ideas that will be compiled in a priority document on the present and future of tourism. Various workshops and activities will also take place that same day for all those interested in signing up and participating. On the second day, open to the public, leaders from across the region, including representatives of institutions, investment and cooperation agencies, academia, and business leaders, will address topics of great interest in various panels. Specifically, the discussion will focus on the participation of social actors and local communities in the benefits and progress of the tourism sector, the progress toward a more sustainable, smart, and inclusive tourism model, and the use of social innovation and technology in the sector.
