Since 1985, the European Year of Music, the Fête de la Musique has brought musical events and concerts to Europe and the world every summer solstice, conveying the universal message of culture, participation, integration, harmony, and interconnectedness that music achieves thanks to performers, both professional and amateur. The theme chosen for the 2026 edition is “The Voice of Places.”
Enrico Giaretta presents the world premiere of pieces from his new recording project, “Note Azzurre” (Blue Notes): some of Paolo Conte’s most celebrated hits, performed live for the first time, as well as previously unreleased pieces composed by Giaretta himself. Joining him on stage is a highly prestigious band: Marco Guidolotti on saxophone and clarinet, Daniele Dall’Omo on guitars, Jino Touche on double bass, and Alessandro Marzi on drums.
The concert in tribute to Paolo Conte will take place on June 21, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. at the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid (Calle Mayor, 86).
Admission is free until capacity is reached. Reservations are required and can be made by emailing confirmaciones.iicmadrid@gmail.com, indicating the name, surname, and telephone number of each person for whom a reservation is being requested. The subject line should read “Festa della Musica”.

Enrico Giaretta, known as “the Singing Aviator,” is a pianist, singer-songwriter, and airline pilot. A conservatory-trained artist, he has developed an international musical career that has taken him to perform in Asia, the Americas, Africa, and Australia, and to collaborate extensively with Franco Califano. His music, often described as reminiscent of the Paolo Conte tradition, combines original composition with an international flair. Global success came with his reinterpretation of the song “Tutta la vita in un momento,” transformed by singer Matt Dusk into the hit “Back in Town,” which charted in several countries. He has released albums with labels such as Warner Music and Universal, and has collaborated with international artists like Tony Levin, Fabrizio Bosso, Pharrell Williams, and Jack Savoretti. Alongside his music career, he is also a Boeing 737-800 pilot, an activity he integrates into his artistic identity.
