The Cervantes Institute’s headquarters (Calle Alcalá, 49, 28014 Madrid) is hosting the exhibition “The Best Lyrics in Spanish” from April 22nd to May 21st.
Organized in collaboration with Apple Music for Cervantes Week, the exhibition explores the literary power of the written word in our language through song lyrics by 20th and 21st-century Spanish artists such as José Luis Perales, Miguel Ríos, Rosana, Manolo García, Luz Casal, Manuel Alejandro, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Christina Rosenvinge, Valeria Castro, Mari Trini, Juan Carlos Calderón, Rocío Márquez, and El Chojín, among others.
The exhibition invites visitors to read these lyrics as poetic and narrative texts, beyond their original context. It is a celebration of creativity, language, and the power of words to move, tell stories, and endure.
Visiting hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 20:00. Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 16:00. Closed Mondays.
