Fundación Alternativas presents next Friday, April 10 from 10 am in the Sala Valle Inclán of the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid (calle Alcalá, 42) a seminar entitled Spain and Turkey: together for Gaza, Palestine and regional peace. How to progress? To attend, registration on this form is mandatory.
Following the genocide in Gaza, a major political, economic, and humanitarian effort is required to rebuild Gaza and the West Bank, as well as to restore relations between Israel and Palestine. Turkey and Spain have spoken out strongly in defense of the rights of the Palestinian people, reconstruction and a two-state solution. We share common views on the solution to the conflict and could make a very positive contribution to the stabilization and prosperity of the Middle East.
What can we do together to reorient this process toward our common goal? Is there any way forward in the current context of regional war? This joint Spanish-Turkish seminar explores the role and leadership of both governments and their citizens in that task, while building broad coalitions in Europe and the Islamic and Arab world with a view to a just, balanced and lasting solution to the conflict.
Fundación Alternativas invites to attend a very special day of debate, with academic experts from Turkey and Spain, the Embassies of Turkey and the Palestinian State in Madrid, agencies such as UNWRA or the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, EU and Cooperation. A seminar that will also feature an excellent working document on the subject.
