Closing of the exhibition ‘Half the world. Women in indigenous Mexico’

 

To accompany the closing of the exhibition Half the world. Women in indigenous Mexico, the Instituto Cultural de México organizes several events during this week.

 

– Before the silence. Meeting of poetry in original languages (18 March, 19 hours). Instituto Cervantes (Alcalá, 49, Madrid). Celerina Sánchez (tu’un savi), Diana Domínguez (ayuujk), Leticia Domingo Olivares (masewalli) and Lyz Sáenz (ore’tzame) participate. Modera: Izaira López Sánchez (tu’un savi).

 

– Film exhibition. Original International (18 and 19 March, 12 hours). Instituto Cultural de México (Carrera de San Jerónimo, 46, Madrid). The films La Raya, by Yolanda Cruz (17 March), Ñii Ñ’u: pieles sagradas, by Omar Aguilar Sánchez (18 March) and Tote (abuelo), by María Sojob (19 March) will be screened.

 

– Gastronomic meeting “Sabores de la tierra” (19 March, 19 hours). Instituto Cultural de México. Mexican cooks Rosario Cuaya Coatl, Juana Cóyotl Chiquito and Flora Edith Cóyotl Cuaya participate.
