Until next May 8, the Instituto Francés of Madrid presents in its Galerie du 10 the second edition of 100% L’EXPO Madrid 2026, in collaboration with La Villette and ARCOMadrid. Free entry.
100% L’EXPO is an annual exhibition initiated by La Villette in Paris and dedicated to young contemporary creation. This presentation from Madrid offers a showcase of the emerging French scene and is part of the continuation of a collaboration committed to the international dissemination of creation and dialogue with the Spanish public. The exhibition takes place on the occasion of the international contemporary art fair ARCO Madrid, one of the main events in the world of art.
Conceived as a professional impulse, 100% L’EXPO is, since 2018, an essential contemporary art event dedicated to young creation. Each year, the exhibition brings together French or international artists, all of them trained in French art schools, and offers them a first space of institutional visibility.
At the heart of 100% L’EXPO are the questions that artists face when they leave school: the place they want to occupy in society, the forms that artistic commitment can take today, as well as the challenges, both symbolic and material, of the beginnings of a career. 100% L’EXPO thus offers a look at a generation that is in the process of defining itself. The works presented here explore stories in which personal memories, cultural legacies and collective imaginaries are intertwined. Through universes nourished by childhood, pop culture, digital cultures or myths, works shape sensitive worlds where fiction opens up new ways of approaching reality. Installations, paintings or films thus become projection spaces where issues of transmission, of relation to the living and with otherness are crossed.
