Cardamom Trio Concert at the Ramadan Nights of Casa Árabe

As part of the Ramadan Nights, Casa Árabe de Madrid is organizing next Wednesday, March 18 at 8 p.m. a concert of Cardamom Trio, with two special guests, the voices of Linda Alahmad and Navid Norouzi, a collaboration between Arabic and Persian music with Western arrangements. Tickets can be purchased here.

On the occasion of the appearance of their first album, When the Sun Rises, a work that is born from the collaboration between the Syrian musician Hames Bitar and the Iranian Kaveh Sarvarian, Cardamom Trio offers this concert in the last week of the month of Ramadan.

Bitar and Sarvarian, joined by the Spanish percussionist Luis Tabernas, are united by a common interest in exploring the essential elements of Arabic and Persian musical traditions. Cardamom Trio develops its own proposal that dialogues with these sound heritages from a contemporary perspective. His music integrates these traditions with arrangements and resources from Western music, creating a sound language that combines intercultural sensitivity and artistic experimentation.

In this concert, the project is also expanded with the presence of Arabic and Persian singing, thanks to the participation of two exceptional guest artists: Linda Alahmad and Navid Norouzi, whose voices bring new expressive dimensions to the group’s repertoire.

Linda Alahmad is an artist who combines musical and dramatic talent. Specializing in classical Arabic singing, she has a strong background in theater, film and television. Throughout his career he has recorded several songs in homage to the Syrian Revolution and regularly collaborates with the projects Cardamom Trio and Darawish, participating both in recordings and live performances. At the same time, she develops an outstanding pedagogical work as a teacher of classical Arabic singing.

Navid Norouzi showed from a young age a deep interest in Persian singing, particularly the traditional style characteristic of his hometown. In recent years, numerous interpretations of his have been disseminated through digital platforms, helping to broaden their recognition among the public. Born in Isfahan, throughout his career he has participated in various festivals and musical events, progressively consolidating as one of the prominent voices within the Persian vocal tradition.
