XI edition of the Francophone Film Showcase at Cineteca Madrid

From 18 to 22 March, the Cineteca del Matadero Madrid (Plaza de Legazpi, 8) hosts the 11th edition of the Francophone Film Festival. Five days dedicated to discovering stories, voices and looks that reflect the wealth and diversity of the French-speaking world.

The Francophone Film Festival in Madrid highlights the talent and creativity of francophone filmmakers from Europe, Africa and America. Its programming brings together contemporary cinema, animation, documentaries and author proposals that rarely reach commercial billboards.

This XI edition has the artistic direction of Carmen Mata Barreiro, professor emeritus of the Autonomous University of Madrid, and the filmmaker Alain Lefebvre. These experts offer a demanding and committed perspective on contemporary francophone cinema.

The festival aims to promote values of cultural diversity, solidarity and understanding between cultures through the Seventh Art. It has established itself as a must-visit for film lovers in Madrid.
