Next Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the hall of events of the Instituto Cervantes de Madrid (calle Alcalá, 49) there will be a meeting with the Mexican poets Celerina Sánchez, Lyz Sáenz and Diana Domínguez, who write in their original languages, as part of the activities scheduled for the closing of the exhibition Half the World. Women in indigenous Mexico. Tejida Stories. Live activity, online and through the Institute’s YouTube channel. Free admission until full capacity, with priority seat reservation on Eventbrite.

The activity aims to celebrate and give visibility to the cultures and voices of women of the indigenous peoples of Mexico, bringing the public their linguistic wealth and their perspective on the world.

The event is part of the exhibition project presented at four venues in Madrid between 2025 and 2026, a joint initiative by the governments of Mexico and Spain to highlight the fundamental role of indigenous women in cultural and social life.
