Embassy of Uruguay brings a recital of readings and songs ‘De Norte a Sur’

Next Friday, February 20 at 6 pm, the Embassy of Uruguay presents in the Gabriela Mistral Amphitheater of Casa América the recital De Norte a Sur: lecturas y canciones (From North to South: readings and songs), by Fabián Severo and Diego Kuropatwa. Free admission until capacity is full.

De Norte a Sur is a meeting between two voices, two territories and two languages: literature and music. A writer from the north of the country and a composer from the south draw an imaginary line that crosses Uruguay, turning it into a bridge of sensitivity and shared creation.

Through the reading of texts and the interpretation of songs, the show establishes an intimate dialogue between the said word and the sung word, between the story that evokes and the melody that moves.

Inspired by oral tradition, popular singing and poetic narration, it proposes a close experience where each function is transformed into a space of emotion, reflection and shared beauty.

More than a show, De Norte a Sur is an emotional and sensory journey. A map made of words and chords that invites you to travel without moving from the place.
