The Madrid International Festival of Magic returns to the Teatro Circo Price

 

Madrid becomes the world capital of illusionism from 12 February to 15 March with the celebration at the Teatro Circo Price (Ronda de Atocha, 35) of the XVI International Festival of Magic in Madrid. Tickets can be purchased at this link.

 

Directed by the magician and illusionist Jorge Blass, this festival has established itself as one of the best magic festivals in Europe, gathering more than 30,000 spectators each year.

 

The public will enjoy a programming that combines tradition, innovation and talent with the participation of some of the best national and international magicians, including the latest world winners in the disciplines of close-up magic and stage magic.

 

During the first week of the festival, the intimacy of the Parish Hall will host six performances of Magia de Cerca, an exclusive experience where three prominent figures of cartomagia and micromagia coincide in one show. A format that allows to live the illusionism at very short distance. Participating Dani Daortiz, considered one of the best cartomagos in the world for its chaotic style and his unpredictable magic, and the duo Rubi and Fer, winners of the World Micromagia Prize, and recognized for their extraordinary synchrony and sense of humor.

 

The main event of the festival is the International Stage Gala, which will offer 28 performances on the stage of the Teatro Circo Price. A show that will be repeated throughout the festival will bring together some of the most recognized illusionists on the world scene, combining great illusions, humor, visual effects and very different styles. Cast includes latest World Magic Prize winner Francesco Della Bona (Italy); dramatised magic by Calista Sinclair (Australia); fusion of magic and ventriloquism by Celia Muñoz (Spain); high-risk mentalism by Aaron Crow (Belgium); the union of illusionism and fashion by Han Manho (South Korea), and the unpublished magic of Jorge Blass.
