Last year was the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel and in this new year 2026 it is the same with Manuel de Falla. The relationship between the two musicians was of a deep friendship and mutual admiration, catalyzed by the pianist Ricardo Viñes, who presented them in Paris around 1908, being a key link for the exchange of musical influences, especially the Spanish vision of Ravel, masterfully embodied in his popular Bolero, and the opening of Falla to new techniques that gave its first fruits in the opera in one act La vida breve and later in the second of his popular ballets: El sombrero de tres picos, where tradition and modernity come together to create a masterpiece.
Conference price: Free for subscribers and people with admission to the concert of February 4 at the Auditorio Nacional. And price of 15 euros for the rest of people who wish to attend.
Reservation of conference seats: by sending an email to reservas@clubmonteverdi.com.
