Trump 2025-2026: A year of presidency and its global implications

 

Tomorrow Thursday at 6 pm, Casa América opens its doors to a high-level conversation that examines the first year of Donald Trump’s second term from a global and multidisciplinary perspective. Free admission until capacity is full.

 

Throughout this meeting, the most controversial decisions, strategic turns and statements that have marked Trump’s return to the White House since January 2025 will be addressed.

 

The impact of your presidency on the main international axes -political, economic, social and cultural- will be analysed with special attention to its repercussions in Europe and Ibero-America. What has changed on the global board? How are alliances, markets and discourses being reconfigured in this new era? A space for critical analysis, informed debate and reflection on the future of international relations in times of uncertainty.

 

José Antonio Gurpegui, director of the Franklin-UAH Institute, dedicated to research on the United States and transatlantic relations, and Professor of North American Studies in the Department of Modern Philology at the University of Alcalá; Carlota G. Encina, PhD in International Relations and professor at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. U.S. Foreign Policy Specialist. with experience in strategic analysis and public diplomacy, and Pedro Rodríguez, foreign policy analyst, professor of International Relations and regular contributor to media outlets such as ABC, Onda Cero and La Sexta. Specialist in American geopolitics and transatlantic diplomacy.

 

The event will be moderated by Anna Bosch, a RTVE journalist with extensive experience as a correspondent in Washington, London and Moscow. Specialist in international politics and rigorous narrator of the great geopolitical changes.
