Casa Árabe, in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in Lebanon, organizes this afternoon at 7 pm the screening of the documentary Spain in Lebanon and a round table on Spanish-Lebanese ties. Free admission until capacity is full. The event will be held in Spanish.
This documentary is an audiovisual piece produced with the support of the Embassy of Spain in Lebanon, which explores the presence and journey of Spaniards in the country of cedars.
The event will begin with a welcome by the director of Casa Árabe, Miguel Moro Aguilar. The documentary will then be screened. Subsequently, a colloquium on Lebanese in Spain will take place with the participation of Alex Mtainy, founder of the restaurant Makan; Laila and Nadia Hotait, artistic duo, being Laila professor at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and Nadia director of the Forum of Co-production of the Mostra de Valencia. The Hotait sisters will also be screening part of their video-performance We are all survivors (pictured). The event will be moderated by Karim Hauser, coordinator of Cultura de Casa Árabe.
